Currently in the Zaishen arenas where we battle against hero parties its not possible to earn more than 2000 Balthazar faction points in 24 hours. An amount that can be earned in less than half an hour. Way too little to my opinion. Testing all kinds of hero builds cost lots of faction (to unlock skills and items). Players who are testing their builds in differend circumstances (arena's/opponents) should be able to earn more.

Another thing is that the faction is locked for 24 hours. Its not 2000 faction a day, its less because you have to start later every day. Mind, I'm talking about the above arena's and not about the regular faction to be earned in PvP games.

if you can earn 2000 faction in less than half an hour, that's probably why there's a cap on it . ..

Maybe because faction is for PvP and PvH isnt really PvP?

The Zaishen arenas are for practice. I've always been kind of pleased that you can earn any faction there at all, certainly I'd say it qualifies as a gift and not something to be expected.

That's exactly my idea! I use those arena's to practice new builds. Every new build costs something between 10.000-20.000 Balthazar faction to complete. I could easily test a new build in one evening if it was not for this faction cap. Now it takes 5-10 days...

Again, I'm talking about testing hero builds, so don't come up with answers that I should earn faction in PvP games. It's about full hero teams and testing them includes adding new items/skills. Therefore it should be possible to earn the needed faction points while practicing.

I can farm off 2k faction in about 10 minutes. 35 - 50 seconds per flawless, plus load and wait time. That's why it is capped.

I think like someone said you can earn 2k faction with like a trap team in 15 min in the Zaishen arenas. If you are trying to get faction to run a build...you could do a crazy thing like go actually pvp instead of trying to get free faction off gimmick builds vs computers(not pvp) easy enough to get faction...no reason to just give it away.

I don't play pvp, I am building hero teams for pve adventuring. The Zaishen arena is a good place to practice. And actually I don't think its meant for hardcore pvp players who indeed earn much more faction faster in real pvp games. If it was for farming I would agree with you. But its just for what its meant to be: to practice new builds.

Yes, its there to practice new builts, not gain faction. If theres was no limit, people would just farm it like crazy.

/not signed Are you listening to yourself? If it's meant to be there to practice new builds, and the cap was increased, no one would use it to practice new builds anymore, they'd farm faction there...If you want faction, earn it, otherwise get a character builder program.

Its easy to say for those who are used to earn faction in PvP. I can understand they don't like it when others earn faction in PvH games. But I am convinced Anet added faction here for a reason: to encourage players who don't play PvP to experience with all kinds of builds, eventually increasing their convidence to start playing PvP. And is does not count for any title.

Alright, lets make it not some kind of grinding: I propose 3000 Balthazar faction/20 hours.

20 Hours because the 24 hours limit is a very bad one since it means you need to skip days (you don't log on at the same time every day, so the moment you can earn faction becomes later every day).

play some AB / RA or even HvH if you want some fast faction. honestly I dont think this would be a good idea cause then it would be too easy to unlock every skill in no time. there has to be some challenge to it.
